NEWS FLASH – DRESS CODE MADRID

I would say based on the above pictures, anything goes, and this is a small sampling. Before I departed on my journey, I researched what the people in Madrid wear. I read, definitely no shorts, you will stand out like a sore thumb…………………..um, looks to me like if you don’t wear shorts you are a sore thumb.

Second comment on the internet, the Madridians are very conservative, not one for fashion flair, dress up for every occasion. I realize I am in tourist central, but please, not all these folks are tourists………no way.

Lots of skinny jeans, which my daughter gave me a pair before I left San Antonio that I didn’t look bad in, and I am so glad she did, cause now this old lady can fit in.

Lots of “tennis” shoes also, which the internet says will make you stand out as a United States tourist. My thoughts on this…….the USA has influenced the Spanish wardrobe…….and in a huge way.

No churros and chocolate yet, I was so tired that when they let me in my room, I laid down and fell asleep, dreaming of Spain, and when I woke up, I was shocked that I was in Spain. Damn Jet Lag…..

Now that I have had my nap, I have refreshed myself with a shower, and I am starting to feel like getting out of the room, I will sign off for now, OH WAIT THERE’S WINNIE THE POOHIMG_0295

Tomorrow is another adventure. Royal Palace, Tapas Tour and who knows.

To be honest, who knows what today has yet to bring to the table.

Adios, mi amigos.
